I received an email from Amazon regarding my Ronin pre-order (ordered May 17th)

We are sorry to report that we will not be able to obtain the
following item(s) from your order:

Robert De Niro (Actor), et al "Ronin [Blu-ray]"

Though we had expected to be able to send this item to you, we've
since found that it is not available from any of our sources at this
time. We realize this is disappointing news to hear, and we apologize
for the inconvenience we have caused you.

We must also apologize for the length of time it has taken us to reach
this conclusion. Until recently, we had still hoped to obtain this
item for you.

We have cancelled this item from your order.

Has this release been canceled???

Me too which is why I have had it ordered since May.

From the Amazon listing -
Availability: Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.

Ronin is available in Japan, Region A. Don't know about the Euro release.

"Ronin" hasn't been released yet. Fox/MGM announced in August that it'll come out on December 4.

I checked a couple release lists, and it is still listed as December 4th as well.

This thread popped up at just the right time; I was just about to preorder the sucker. I was looking forward to this and talk about an excellent supporting cast: Stellan Skarsgard, Jonathon Pryce, Jean Reno & Sean Bean. It even has Michael Lonsdale, the villain from Moonraker!

Is MGM/UA running their own releases?

I went to pre-order Ronin from moretonbayblu-ray and was informed that Fox has cancelled Ronin.
