What a perfect example, another one is Transformers 2, I thought the film was ok and don't hate it as much as everyone elses. But the general population seem to hate it.

I think Inception will be a good movie, but will likely bomb at the box office. I still can't believe the budget for this movie is close to $200 million. What they hell were they thinking?

Wow! It cost that much? It's rated R right? No way it's going to break even at $200 million budget. That's $500 million for the studio to break even (worldwide plus home video).

Let's hope they spent some of that on advertising, because outside of this website I haven't seen/heard much about it.

It's PG-13. I can't imagine Warner Brothers would have let Nolan make a $200 million move that was rated R, although I suppose he held all the power at the time since he hadn't committed to a third Batman movie. I think if reviews are good Inception could be a pretty big movie, and it's the kind of movie that should do well internationally.

Inception was Christopher Nolan's $200M thank you card from WB.

....well $100M of it was, and the other $100M was probably contingent on him signing for Batman 3

I think MacGruber is going to bomb badly at the box office for many reasons, but that's not a movie I expected to do well in the first place. If I had to choose from ones that are more expected to do well, I would say The Last Airbender. It has a different audience than Twilight, but it is still sandwiched between quite a bit of other big movies. It might do a decent opening weekend because of the difference in audiences, but I think the legs of some other movies before it and other movies coming out after it will keep it from being a hit like they are obviously hoping it will be.

The buzz for Prince of Persia will come. Disney is going to throwing plenty of advertising dollars into that one.

MacGruber won't bomb, it's kinda hard for it to bomb, it cost 10 Million

Nah, the anticipation and hype for this movie is pretty great right now. It will be a smash hit for sure. The whole secrecy and hush-hush feel surrounding it is enough to put me in a seat!

The "hush hush" feel that is surrounding it is nobody paying attention to it.

lol no, it's intentional. According to Entertainment Weekly who posted an interview with Nolan, the lack of advertising and promotion for it is intentional. He says there's enough buzz already surrounding it that it will speak for itself pretty much...

obviously no buzz here from the blu crowd lol
But I am very excited for it and can't wait to see what "ye who gives Batman wings" can do with it
