![]() I'm losing a lot of faith in Monahan's writing ability. Kingdom of Heaven was pretty good, but the movie centered around the most boring character(Balian) instead of it's most interesting(Baldwin). The Departed is a remake of a HK film trilogy, where his only new idea was an ill-concieved love triangle. Body of Lies was good, but something was lacking as I couldn't quite connect fully with the main character. And now we get Edge of Darkness, the first revenge thriller without any revenge or many thrills. NTM, that the comedy is terrible, specifically a running joke about everything being illegal in Massachusetts just to comepletely drop the ball the one time it may have actually been funny(when the lawyer gets in his car). IDK whose idea the ending of the film was, but seemed completely out of place. ![]() |
