I wasn't suprised, I figured since Catherine directed it she'd, imo ruin it. I'll pass on this. I'm not that big on werewolves anyway. I forgot about one series I like by Caroline B. Cooney called The Vampire's Promise. The vampire featured in it is evil, so it's a nice change of pace from the more recent stuff. I may check out the Vampire Academy series, I'll see if I can find it at my local library once exams are over.

Yeah I'm a fan of werewolves and after hearing how this was supposed to be like an adult or more older teen movie I thought cool. Then they hired Catherine and I do like Twilight so I thought she could hopefully do this series justice. After seeing the trailer though it's like she took Twilight and just added a new location and werewolves and was done. Still looking forward to the movie but my excitement has gone down a little.

Cool I will have to check out Vampire's Promise.

Yeah you could definitively tell that she is not a very creative person when it comes to directing as Twilight and this look pretty much identical and this seems to offer nothing new to fans.

They're also opening it in March so as to invite (beg) comparison with Tim Burton's Alice, but sorry, March Geek Week only works for guys.

Yeah I was hoping she would have at least tried to make this movie stand apart from Twilight I mean at least she could have tried to.

Imo it's excellent, I'm all about Sam. I love the show. I'd never seen it until about 3-4 months ago, and within three weeks I purchased three of the seasons. I think that people will largely be disappointed by this new movie, some people will see it expecting it to be just like Twilight, and when it's not they will be disappointed. And some other people who see it may see it because it has a werewolf, and they may expect it to be a traditional dark film, and I think that they will also be disappointed. That's just my opinion. I won't see it until it comes to Charter for free. I don't hold out much hope that this will be good. Plus, I saw the plotlines for Orphan coming a mile away, so that's also coloring my perception.

Yeah I think some people may be disappointed as it does seem like a one way movie either it's to much like Twilight and they hate it or they love it as it is like Twilight. I was expecting something a little darker then a Twilight romance kinda movie but I'll take what I get.

Yeah same here I got season 1 a few years ago and blew through it and got season 2 and 3 and had a marathon view so I could watch the 4th season premier. I would love to see a Supernatural movie as I think that would work but that's a discussion for another time or thread. Sam is also my favorite character to.

Yeah there is not way this movie is rated R. The trailer showed nothing that could warrant an R rating. Also like Q! said this movie was made for the Twilight crowed they wouldn't give it an R rating and take away most of the fanbase.

The Girl With the Red Riding Hood is the old name. It was changed a few months ago I believe.

It's the old title. As for it being R-Rated, judging by the fact that it has a werewolf and that it didn't look all that expensive, I thought it had a sense of Hammer horror in it
