Anybody have any info on a release date for this film.? I cannot wait to own this movie on BD, if you haven't seen it please do!

Riding Giants, dir: Stacey Peralta
Starring: Gregg Noll, Jeff Clark, Laird Hamilton and many others.

Would love to hear if anyone has been able to dig up something I haven't.

I haven't seen this but I would love to. I know Step Into Liquid is out on blu. I can't wait for Dog Town Z boys and Lords of Dogtown!

I have never seen anything official on this one but I agree, Just watch this once on regular HD tv, and you can imagine what Blu can do with it. A mst see for anyone who has ever looked at a big wave and thought, "what would it be like to surf something that big?

This is a great documentury and so is Dogtown and Z-boys, they will be #1 on my list upon release!

Really enjoyed this often breathtaking documentary in Standard Def so I can only imagine how awesome all that blue will look on a blu. It's more than just eye candy too - a very interesting and entertaining look at the history of the surfer sub-culture.

When Soundgarden's My Wave kicked i had my klipsch wf-35 rocking! Sounded great to my ears. ps Good to have those guys back, cant wait to see them again!

Haven't seen the blu-ray but have to agree. this doc was quite a surprise when I rented it. very entertaining and interesting. If you get the chance, watch Step Into Liquid first (though I guess Endless Summer would, technically, be the first doc you should watch if interested in surfing)vand you will have acquired oodles of knowledge on all aspect of surfing.

will definitely pick this up - awesome documentary.

also, since its a mix of new/old footage, the PQ will understandably be inconsistent. kind of JFK'like.

Anyone have any idea when this blu ray will come out for region B / Australia ?

I been waiting for ages for this and can't find any info on the release for australia!!!!!

Audio is sweet! The waves crashing and you can hear your front, surrounds and rear surrounds and subwoofer rumbling. It's awesome.

Both "Riding Giants" and "Dogtown with Z-Boys" are worth it. Nothing new though.
