From April 2006 to December 2006 i was the biggest HD DVD ***** you could handle.. now i'am 100% Blu Only... Why well my A1 failed me so many times, that i just gave up and sold everything..

Your best bet is to get the Panasonic 30 since it will take full advantage of your receiver.

And you missed a big con to the PS3 that is a pro for the 30.
Bitstreaming of all advanced codecs.

Panasonic DMP-BD30 is the only player to go for right now, It's the player I'm getting from the US for region A discs
