Default At what price do you go format neutral?
I made the plunge into Blu Ray this last week. Picked up a Samsung BDP1200 demo unit for $89.99. Remote, manuals, cables, upc for 5 free discs, the whole smash.

As long as BD 1.0 still will allow proper playback of movies, regardless of 1.1 and 2.0 releases, I am happy with the product.

My threshold to allow 2 players into my AV shelf was under $100, or a combo player for under $200. I thought I would be waiting months, if not years for that.

With the current '$98 wal mart special', is neutrality an option? Does the same price point apply to Blu Ray purchases?

Leave the threadcrapping and trolling at the door. I am new to the Blu Ray crowd, and want to get some honest anwers here.
