I've found that the opposite is true as well. While the PQ and AQ of most BDs are much better than what can be experienced in a theater, thus making it better to just wait for the BD, some theaters are really starting to take it up a notch. There are two theaters on the southern TN/GA border that have all DLP projectors. Ocean's Thirteen and the more recent AVP2 were so crystal clear and sounded so amazing that I had absolutely no need to watch it again on BD. Normally I see the big movies in the theater and then enjoy seeing a much clearer, better sounding version at home without all the stupid people and screaming children. But when you see it perfect the first time, there is little need to see it again.
