Receiver question about PCM

I've been looking to upgrade my receiver so I can process PCM sound from blu rays.

WHat is the technical term for PCM to be able to tell the receiver does this? I've looked at several receivers at bby and CC and none mention PCM.

Overall, I'm looking to stay under $500, but want something that isn't going to be outdated by xmas. I'm assuming we want something that is DTS-HD as sony will eventually add this to ps3 at some point.

Also, has THX certified receivers dropped yet? I have a few ps3 games that are THX certified like Warhawk and this would be a cool benefit if I don't have to pay a ton more for it?

These are all under $500...

The Onkyo is the only hdmi 1.3 receiver, which allows it to decode dolby truehd and dts-hd master...but with the PS3 all of these receivers will provide Lossless audio.
