24 speakers? this seems alittle unrealistic to me for some reason... especially only 8 years away, hell it took me this long and I don't even have an HDtv just yet! thats coming next month but yeah.
how much gigs would a whole film be on ultra HD anyways? ![]() |

By the time I am ready to buy a new tv... in about 10 years.... (and am able to), it will be at least as good as an OLED and possibly better than just HD
![]() But that is a long way from now, who knows what will come out by then. |

Keep in mind that only a few people have got HD at home and it will take at least five years for the media and consumers to adopt this new format. Only a few channels are broadcasting HD... HD is big step and a huge improvement over SD. Many people will switch to HD in the next five years. It is good to have a screen with high resolution but as long as the picture is still SD you won't take benefit from your HD TV. And for the moment except Blu ray Discs and a few channels most of the time you have SD picture quality displayed on you HD tv screen. And moreover to get HD picture quality you need good video trasnfer and you know that for the moment many Blu ray Discs don't have a real HD picture quality but only an average one. So we need some time before the manufacturers, the TV media get used to HD...it will take a few years. Ultra High definition is nice if you want to buy a 200 " screen lol For the moment we need to focus on HD which will be the next-standard definition for (at least) the next ten years!!! |

I'd like to see the speaker layout for 22.2 sound. It seems kinda silly. You don't need a speaker everywhere you want sound coming from.

i don't see how anything above 1080p for any screen less than 72inches could even be worth while....if you have ultra hi def on a screen that is only 30inches...which i am guessing would be the average tv size in NA...then there is no way for this to be useful besides imax..theatres...which would be amazing no doubt but i can't see this being in peoples homes.

![]() And he was also claiming that below 32 " you can't make the difference between 720P and 1080P. I really think that now people want a 42" TV screen at home and that is why 1080P is perfect for the future. And HD will the next generation standard for quite a long time. Remember that SD TV is still here after 40 years... |
