yea thought that was the better way to do it? to let the receiver do the work,so why would panny be coming out with a player that does this internally? when people would rather have it bitstreamed.

I guess there's nothing I can add that has not already been mentioned but here it goes....

In game XMB access

In game messaging

Custom soundtracks

Achievements (I know, I know. This is coming with Home but I would like to see Sony go ahead and at least implement a simplified version until Home launches.)

More plug in support for web browser

The ability to open more than one browser page at a time

Default play my itunes videos

Ability to play my DRM protected iTunes Video's Movies, and Songs (save me having to buy an Apple TV down the line)

Not holding out much chance on this one tho.

What the hell are you talking about? Are you talking about with DVD or Blu-ray media? If that's what you are referring to than you are sadly mistaken. The PS3 can Fast Forward up to 120x the normal speed.

Add a clock or timer at the press of a button on the PS3 controller. I want to see how long I've been playing or to see just what time it is while I'm playing.

The PSP even has a clock. So come on Sony. Like I've been saying the PS3 needs a clock. You can add on a timer too that. It wouldn't be that hard.
