Bootlegs come from either Malaysia or China. BDs must be cheap there.

I think what hes saying is its actually just a DVD its not blu at all just a blu case?

and that still doesnt add up to the "blus are worse than up scaled DVDs"
cause if its a DVD itd be the same quality LOL

It's a packaging lie. The product is DVD. And instead of $2 - $5 for a bootleg DVD, they are charging $8.50. Fraud and piracy.

Reasons why copyprotecting is evil?
It takes forever for my receiver to be accepted by the blu-ray/hd cable box/plasma tv while the handshaking protocols shake out.
Disc protected cds put all kinds of crap on my computer hard drives and then won't play properly!! Now whenever I buy one of the crap discs, I call the distributor and get them to mail me on without it.
I lose the stupid codes on all kinds of kids games that I have bought over the years, and so anytime a harddrive fails, those games are lost permanantly.
Do you need more reasons?

i bought warlords staring jet li and andy lau and it has blu - ray on top but its just a bootleg dvd good quality though when its upscaled

heres one pic, i got two but the other one didnt show the full case so well
but today i noticed it actually says "DVD-9" at the bottom right of the case
this pic shows the whole case a lil better, couldnt get great pics cuz the guy was sorta hovering around me.

guess he thought i was gonna steal one

Thats classic. Does it say what resolution on the back? 720p/1080p?
You might be suprised BD-9s arnt that hard to make now days particularly since those 720p mkv torrents seam to be designed to fit on a DL DVD. Its not that hard now. I read up alot about it when i was trying to get transformers in HD.

they probably used the BD as the master and scanned the bluray case art, I would have at least taken the insert out........lol

Why stick it in a Blu case if its really just a DVD? I guess buyers should read the full package prior to buying what they think is a BD at such a low price.

I have the BD for Flashpoint, one of the movie listed above. Picked up in SF. It's not a bad movie with PCM 7.1 and DTS-MA track. Good thing I didnt get the bootlegged one
