Exclamation "FAKE" BD-Live features on Blu-rays

I always read in BD movies reviews, like the Hellraiser being the most recent, that the BD-Live section of the disc is "coming soon" with downloadable clips, trailers etc etc.

Are there cases where movies never got the downloadable content promised by the companies?

I think that, it's WRONG to begin with to advertise BD-live content and on inserting the disc to view them, the status to be coming soon. I would like to watch them at the time I watch the movie and not months later!

It's sort of like what happened with video games. We've fallen into a system where the consumer almost never buys the final product (on updatable media such as the Next Gen consoles, computer games - which have been following this trend for a lot longer - and now Blu-rays).

I don't understand the point of BD-Live, surely the blu ray disc has enough space for these features anyway. Why should I use my limited bandwidth to access features I have already paid for?

Don't forget about Weinstein Compan's BD-Live logo via menu, click it and you see "coming soon"

Did the content for Dexter Season 1 ever go live? I remember a big thing when it first came out when nobody could access anything listed.
