Correction. The PS3 will play ANY SACD, period. HOWEVER, if you want to hear the album in multichannel, the only way to do it is via a HDMI connection with a receiver. Using optical out, you'll only get stereo sound.

ADDENDUM: Not all Hybrid SACDs have stereo and multichannel layers. Some are only in stereo. Those that have multichannel layers WILL have stereo layers.
