I can totally live with that, lets hope is just that and nothing more serious.

Just to be clear, I may be the only one experiencing this issue. I don't want to start up a fuss if everyone else isn't having the issue. Can someone check their copy?

Well, if my copy had to have a glitch - this isn't so bad. It's not like I can't access them. It's just odd that this issue isn't limited to one or two discs in my set, but all of them.

Here's my display so far, still have the regular version coming + the 4 remaining keychains and the letter opener

I'm running out of real estate so I had to use my office mini-fridge.

I don't really think it matters which cover you get because HBO wont use any of them for season 2. And if they were to use the same covers I could only see it being one or both of the exclusives again to keep it consistent.
[Show spoiler]They can't use the regular cover with Ned sitting on the throne for the second season cover art because it wouldn't make any sense with him being dead in the first season.
. So either way your not going to have shelf consistency unless they make all the spins black for each coming season. So if you want everything to look the same the regular cover and the Targaryen one have a black spin.

If they wanted to keep a sitting on a throne theme it would only make sense for Joffery to be on the next cover. I don't know about you guys but I won't buy a cover with that d bag on there. A cool second season cover would be a picture of Kings Landing like the one in the first episode when they show that distance shot.

They can do exclusives of with the kingdoms since they are kind of the major focus of the second season as in landscape. One of Kings Landing another with Winterfell

Then maybe Riverrun, Qarth, Storm's End, Harrenhal, Iron Islands, The Haunted Forrest or anything else I'm forgetting. That seems to me to be a good idea if they do an exclusive cover. I love how you can see the red leaves of the Heart Tree in the background of the Winterfell picture.

(FWIW, WM price matched BB's price even with the exclusive. YMMV, as always.)

I may watch it when I get home tonight. According to this blog it is simply:

"'Houses of the Seven Kingdoms' (16 mins): A Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin describes the many Houses that comprise Westeros, providing insight into their history, heraldry, traditions, and their underlying position within the Seven Kingdoms."

The site has details and pics from Target and HBO's exclusives as well.

I don't really see the big deal about the bonus features you know people are going to upload them onto youtube really soon.

LOL That would be a terrible marketing decision! Maybe for the second season cover they could have Melisandre standing by Stannis, since they're the new central characters.

Has anyone got any info about the region codes; ie. will the Region 1 work with Region 2 Blu-ray players? I'd love to swoop down season 1 from Amazon for $ 35...

I'm through 4 episodes, this show has it all! You've got people conspiring against each other, people posturing for power, barbaric acts, and cut thoats. This show is delicious! Oh and it's a perfect transfer. It's absolutely gorgeous. Awesome blind buy, no regrets here.

What are we going to be left with by Season 7 or 8? House Tully? House Bolton? No one wants that.

Could have done (this is in no particular order or based on any of the books):

1 - Stark
2 - Lannister
3 - Baratheon
4 - Targaryen
5 - Tyrell
6 - Martell?
7 - Arryn?

But instead they've blown their wad on two Houses for one season.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned House Frey for the cover of Season 3/Book 3.

I'm sure a minimalist ideal like that can be applied to a wide vareity of things. Alas beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
Heck you could probably just watch the entire series on youtube at some point(if not already).
Why get A/C in a new car? You can just roll down the windows.
Ditto heat.
Why get a 3-br house when everyone can pile into 1 or 2 bedrooms?
Why even get blu-ray, dvd would suffice.
Why go to the movies, you can wait for said dvd, or PPV, or movie channels, or OTA TV if it comes out on OTA TV.

Like I said the list can go on, but it all depends on what the end user likes.
Especially now with a lot of extras being filmed in HD, it sweetens the "extras" deal even further.

To each their own, I suppose.
Me, personally, I'll take all the extras I can get for my purchase price! All day long!

Agree! I don't care that anyone loves bonus content. I just personally never liked knowing how something was done. Like for instance if they said this was how we made x happen, every time I watched the series I'd be thinking of that and it would kinda ruin the experience, but thats just me .
