Hello,

I am looking for a custom inside artwork for my ''Batman Begins'' (Best Buy) steelbook. Does anyone have a good/nice inside artwork I can use?

Have just done all the inside art for my BB steels. Only posting a picture of TDK as the art I've used on the others has been posted already but I haven't spotted this one as of yet.

I think it works really well with the rest of the artwork on this steel, kind of has the same effect on the image with all the 'debris'.

Not attempting the spine at all on mine.

Why do you keep the ''spine space'' empty? :P

Here are a couple of Book Of Eli and one Sherlock Holmes. I posted them before, but they got lost in the crash.

what's the best way to stick the spine art to the plastic?
Glue Stick doesn't seem to work that well and double sided tape keeps getting dust and stuff on it before I stick it down.

edit: I just decided to go with double sided tape. it doesn't look the best but it's alright. I'll post pics soon

Alright, I just finished applying my first custom inside artwork.

I used the Aliens Vs Predator PS3 steelbook and swapped the inner plastic tray with my Source Code steelbook, so I can put my AvP & AvP Requiem blu's in it

the spine wasn't too difficult.. I tried Pritt Stick but it didn't stick very well so I just used tape.

I used the template from FastFish and I have made several images.
I have one question about the size. I have to use the same size of the template to create the images?

I'm looking to try and start dabbling with my own custom cover art and steelbook inside artwork designs. Can anyone help me?

Specifically I need to know if there is a legal software option for this kind of work that doesn't require purchasing. As I only have 3 titles that I REALLY NEED to customize, paying $50+ would be a bit steep for customization purposes.

Thanks.

No, you can download pretty much any free image editing program to make these.

Niiiice. I'm not a huge fan of the movie, but I do love simple, thematic art, and that is effin' perfect.

Have you made other inserts?

Did a few more tonight, but would really like to have actual photo stock paper and not regular paper with meh quality.

Besides snapfish, what's the best and cheapest online printer for these? I think I remember someone posting something about one website charging 25 cents a print?

I have made many other inserts, been posting them all over this thread. Just made 3 for the Resident Evil steels, pictures of them posted right above this. I have made several for the Best Buy steels that were recently on sale.

Here's a link to an album containing other inserts I've made:

Now to just track down my own set of RE steelbooks...
I may have used the same designs as you, but I made these in Photoshop myself as I like to create mine using a resolution of 150 dpi.

Bought 2 of the steels off Ebay for $12.99 each, got RE: Extinction from Amazon Marketplace for $17.99. Not bad prices considering they can't be found in stores.

You can still find decent prices for all of the RE steels on Ebay and Amazon. Depends on how much you want to pay. They average around $19.99.

No problem dude. It's hard to tell whose design is whose because so many people on here are using each others, but the ones posted on here have too little resolution for me. I tried printing some of others designs and they came out too blurry for my taste so I started creating my own larger resolution versions. Unfortunately I'm retreading on some designs because there's only so many pics online to use.

Good luck in your hunt for the RE steels. Glad I could help out.
