While the cover on Amazon makes the movie look like a low budget PS One on-rails shooter, what intrigues me the most is that the film is now suddenly an "unrated edition".

From what I've been reading on IMDb, apparently the Indonesian version doesn't have quite the same muted colors as the US version, which implies that the blood actually has more of a proper red tone as opposed to the "swamp brown" it occasionally has in the US version.

The one scene that came up the most was when one of the SWAT officers' wounds is shown, it blatantly looks brown in the US version, but was a vivid red in the Indonesian version.

If you like action movies... blind buy the **** out of this. I saw this movie three times in theaters and it is intense! There's very little plot... very little character development... tons of fight scenes and a good amount of suspense.

The martial arts in this film are so well choreographed it's as if you're watching dance sequences. That's no BS... they are that good.

Do yourselves a favor and just buy this damn movie!

(This coming from a guy whose top 2 films of all time are Casablanca and Breakfast at Tiffany's)

Interesting. If this disc doesn't have the original color there is still hope UK disc will.

Yeah, I've also read that

[Show spoiler]the unrated cut features all the officers getting killed at the beginning in the hammer scene and more detail/close-up when Andi kills the other two thugs in the elevator.

Also, I am thrilled that the original Indonesian soundtrack will be on it. I only saw this in US cinemas with Shinoda's score and would like to experience it with the original music.

Cannot wait!

Sometimes having a movie theater to yourself can be a blessing.

I *really* want the original music score as an extra (I've only heard snippets of it), but the more I read about this, the less likely it seems like it'll be on the disc

Okay, so judging by the posted back cover, it does indeed have the original score as well!

saw this movie a few times myself and cannot wait for the blu ray in a couple weeks. blind buy is recommended if you love martial arts action throughout the whole movie. i would say dont watch any of the youtube clips and just be amazed by the action as you see it for the first time!

Since the director isn't even asian and it was going to cinema I don't understand why they used the worst cheapest cameras they could find BUT they had the money to make a new soundtrack with Linkin Park.....

Those cheap 1080p handheld cameras would look better than this. Don't really like the muted colors either but gonna stop complaining until my movie arrives

Not buying those screenshots. First of all the movie looked pretty damn good in theaters because I remember telling myself wow this will make a fine bluray. The muted colors are there but that's part of the look nothing wrong with that. It kind of fits the film's tone.

I'd wait for the reviews or the actual bluray to come out before any judgements are made.

I was thinking the same thing. I saw it in the theatre and remember saying "I can't wait for the Blu-ray!".

when you pick the score, click on the one you want (for example you picked Mike's score) There should be an option after that to choose language.

The default for the US release is Mike's score and an English dub. It took me a couple of minutes the first time I watched to figure it out.

I have watched twice with Mike's score. Go with that one first.

I enjoyed both equally. Especially in the drug lab, the score gives it an almost 80's vibe to the film.
