You lot have things good!

I live in a sleepy village at the foot of a ski centre in Scotland, population is around the 100 mark....If I even mentioned high def or blu ray, it would be interpreted as witchcraft and I would get burned at the stake.

I get the feeling that the husbands and wives in the village are also brother and sister

How true. Wihtout online shopping I would be stuck with only a few BDs, all of them with the advanced audio codecs only fur the dubbed version, and despite shipping and customs I'd even pay more.

Admittedly, my local HMV (Kingston-upon-Thames) has a large-ish Blu-ray section which seems to be growing weekly. I've not looked at it per-say as I don't yet have a BD player.

However, since my spend hand is getting itchy, I think I'll have a proper look before I finally jump in with a player.
