And if you weigh team records it's pretty much a wash between Luck, Griffin and Wilson as all three of their teams have similar records and are possible playoff teams.

Robert Griffin III:
104.2 QB Rating (#2 in the NFL behind only Rodgers)
18 TD, 4 Int
66% Comp
2,902 passing yards
748 yards rushing for 6 TD's

Andrew Luck:
75.5 QB Rating (#31 in the NFL)
20 TD, 18 Int
55% Comp
3.978 passing yards
233 rushing yards for 5 TD's

Russell Wilson:
95.5 QB Rating
21 TD, 9 Int
63% Comp
2,697 passing yards
Luck doesnt even have 4 yards passing ?

Could say Luck is asked to do more since he has over 1,000 more yrds than RG3 & 1,300 more than Wilson.

+ seahawks have the #2 rusher, skins #3 so that helps their qbs meanwhile colts top rusher is #25.

Smith is signed with the 49ers for 2 more years at reasonable $7.5 million per year, so while Smith likely won't be with the 49ers next year he will be leaving by trade, not in free agency.

I can't see Vick getting good money on the market once he's cut. He has been pretty bad for the last 2 seasons and looks to be on the decline. He'll be 32 when next season begins and has taken a lot of hits over his career. I see Vick getting an incentive filled contract without a lot of guaranteed money.

I can see him under center for the Birds next year, or even the Jets if McElroy isn't the direction the franchise wants to go in the future.

You mean the guy that got benched for a 2nd year and the guy that got benched in the preseason for a rookie?

Aaron Rodgers sympathizes with Alex Smith’s plight in San Francisco

Quote:
Not every quarterback controversy in the NFL is a pick-your-self-inflicted poison like the New York Jets face with Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow. Sometimes, an NFL team is fortunate enough to have two pro-quality quarterbacks, and when that happens, somebody's going to get some hurt feelings and too much undeserved bench time.

Case in point: San Francisco, where Alex Smith has lost his starting QB spot to Colin Kaepernick this season. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Smith were both drafted in 2005, Smith No. 1 and Rodgers No. 24.

"Alex and I are buddies, we both got drafted in 2005 NFL draft, and he's been through a lot," Rodgers said in an interview with NFL Total Access. "I can't imagine to have to go through that many offensive coordinators, and the turnover in coaches has been tough for him."

But as Rodgers noted, as good as Kaepernick has been, Smith deserves a starting spot somewhere:

"He comes in, he's 70 percent completion, he's 100-plus quarterback rating last year, he's like barely over 1 percent interception percentage," Rodgers said. "He's a great quarterback. He just needs to go somewhere he gets appreciated for the skills he has and hopefully he gets a chance next year."

Rodgers, of course, is no stranger to the quarterback-controversy dilemma; he spent the first few years of his career trying to play out from under the shadow of Brett Favre. Rodgers' subsequent success and Favre's slide into punch line have blurred memories of that dispute, but for a couple years, Lambeau Field was an ugly place indeed for Rodgers.

But he eventually made the most of his shot once the way was clear, and when Smith catches on with another team — as he most surely will — he'll have the same shot Rodgers did. Rodgers used the "disrespect" of getting drafted 24th to motivate him through his NFL career; if Smith does the same thing, he could carve a similar swath through the NFL ... and he'll be keeping a close eye on San Francisco.

Either of them will be better then what the Jets are working with now.

I was looking at mock drafts today from ESPN's Todd McShay, Fox Sports' Peter Schrager, and Walterfootball.com and I was surprised that none of the 3 sites had Matt Barkley as a first round pick. I know Barkley didn't have an amazing season but he wasn't bad and I figured he was still a projected top 15 pick. The only QB McShay had in the first round was Geno Smith at #8 to Arizona, while Schrager had Smith going to the Chargers at #6, Mike Glennon going to Buffalo at #8, and Tyler Wilson to the Jets at #14, while Walter Football had Smith going #1 to the Chiefs (everything I've read has said the Chiefs won't go quarterback with their first pick) and Wilson going to the Bills at #7. Now obviously a mock draft in December is fairly pointless because the combine hasn't happened, not everyone has declared whether they're staying or going and several teams are going to change coaches and GMs but I still find them interesting.

Michael Vick will be the Eagles' No. 3 quarterback in Sunday's game against the Redskins.
Vick is healthy, but the Eagles don't need any want any more controversies or distractions surrounding Nick Foles. Trent Edwards will be the backup as Vick stands on the sideline and ponders where he'll be playing football in 2013.

No he doesn't. The situations are completely different. Alex Smith isn't a future HOF'er like Favre is. I bet if Alex Smith gets moved he'd be a mediocre starter on just about any other team.

I saw a thing on the NFL channel with their playoff predictions and they're saying it will be the 49ers and Patriots in the Superbowl.
