Default Blu-ray playing at 480i ?

I have a 1080I tv. My PS3 will only play the BD's at 480I. My HD channels on the cable box play at 1080I. What might be the problem? Besides being a 1080I TV.

Thanks

You're using the wrong cables (you need to use HDMI or component) or you have the PS3 set wrong

If you are using the above listed cables, make sure the 480p and 1080i boxes are checked for video options... The PS3 comes setup for 480 out of the box and you need to check what other displays your tv is capable of.

Learning is the key read the manual. Also are you that badly. Get component or HDMI cables from a store plug them into your PS3 then go to setting display and change it to 1080i.

Use a DVI to HDMI cable if you don't have an HDMI input on your TV.
