Maybe a large area rug, over the existing carpet..... you said "downstairs" does that mean "basement" ??? that would be a good way to have the wired concealed, so nobody trips on them etc. Without seing the room, it's hard to tell.... sometimes you can push them under baseboard etc......


Many ways to do it......

I might get some heat for this, but if this is a secondary system, you might just want to stick with the Bose, and keep saving the cash to upgrade right the first time...... For $1,000 you'll end up trying to cut a lot of corners, and that's an awfully nice Television.

Actually no basement, I live In California so those are hard to find haha. Its the "TV room" right next to the kitchen area, and an area rug might work I had not have even thought of that. And this is the primary system in the household, secondary is in my room and I am in the process of switching from a Sony to a Dell Monitor since I am mostly using that for the computer anyways and I cant even a real sound setup there either
