I hate to make a troll reference here, but I dont think you get the point. Fox has been releasing blu-rays faithfully (well except for summer 07). There releases are top notch and reference quality. What is the best Paramount title out there in terms of PQ and AQ. Is it Shooter, MI III, other? My point is that with the way Paramount sold themselves out, they should be asking begging Amazon and other retailers for reasonable pricing, price points below the competition. Again, Fox can kinda justify the price given the quality of their titles, but I for one will not pay $27.95 for a catalog release. I might pay that for a new release, but I will never pay that price for a release that was delayed by a company who *****d themselves during the format war.

Paramount has done some great releases on HD DVD, so I think they are worth the price. And what catalog title(s) are/is $27.95 on Amazon? Blood and Clover are most absolutely not catalog titles, both are being released within a tiny window of just a few weeks of the DVD street. Think Paramount/Viacom owes you something? Just don't buy their films.

Troll reference? Thanks, but I've been around a bit. So you're basing your purchasing habits off of the fact that you feel Paramount owes you lower pricing due to their decision to back HD DVD? I think you'll be waiting awhile for that price drop. As Geonosis said, these are hardly catalog titles. And I hate to break it to you, but Fox hardly provides any more "value" than Disney or Sony in regards to PQ/AQ. If you're an extras person, Fox usually provides the worst value out there, especially for catalog releases.

videoeta.com has been a source for my release dates for the majority of my time collecting DVD's and now Blu-Rays

They have Cloverfield listed for May 20th, but There Will Be Blood is listed as June 3rd.

This is an update to what they used to have on their site.

Verdict: Who knows.

In this article, Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood are listed as June 3rd

BUT they also mention in the same article that Cloverfield and No Country For Old Men will get releases from Paramount on Blu-Ray in August.

Confused.

They are referring to the international schedule, where PHE retains the home video rights to No Country.
