Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood has apparently been moved up to May 20th - Blu-ray Forum

I havent seen a thread specifically dedicated to this, but it seems that all major retailers (in addition to amazon, and buy.com) now have Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood being released on May 20th.

When I walk into Best Buy on Tuesday to purchase V for Vendetta, I guess I should be prepared to spend even more money. I guess we will all be finding out for sure in 6 days.

If this is true, then May 20 will indeed be a very special and expensive day.

my store has no copies of Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood on order for a May 20th release, so i think it's any error.

Umm where? I did a search and I saw it only mentioned in a few other threads, but not a whole thread dedicated to it.

if it was one retailer thats one thing, but all 3 of the major retailers now say the 20th of May when they previously said the 3rd of June. At this point Id say its more than likely that theyre coming on the 20th.

I sent an email to Bill. Hopefully, he can get to the bottom of it.

If true, then May 20th just got TOO expensive.

as much as i'd love to get these two movies on the 20th, my list is already too long for that day and would rather afford them on the 5th.

Agreed. I Would Rather Have It On The 3rd And Have It Affect The Next Paycheck.

Agreed! If this is true may 20th is at least a 10 movie day for me $$$. It's already an expensive day, I'd rather they wait until June 3rd as well, for my bank accounts sake!

Paramount's press release said June 3rd for these titles.

It's a mistake on the part of these retailers.

We all know that Paramount said June 3rd, but its not likely that they would make a whole new press release to say the release date has been moved up.

Paramount could have changed their mind and gave the go ahead.

Again, consider the fact that Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City and Amazon all say that its coming on may 20th, when I know that recently BB, CC and Walmart all recently said June 3rd. If ONE retailer had it listed for that date then I can believe its an error, but there is a lot of smoke.
