Make sure you are sending out a PCM signal to your 605 and not bitstream over HDMI. The PS3 does all the decoding and cant send the signal for your 605 to decode. So the 605 will not say Dolby True HD or DTS-HD.

The first thing you should do after you get everything hooked up to your 605 is the audessey sound setup. Look in your manual and it explains exactly how to do it. You plug in the mic and follow the instructions. Also you have to assign what you have hooked up whether it's in HDMI or component inputs. You can use the receiver onscreen display on your TV. It's fairly easy setup. You will set your PS3 to LPCM. Set your PS3 outputs for audio/video to HDMI. Then when you play anything with DTS-HD Master audio the only thing you should see on your receiver is Multi channel.
Hope that helps.

You can do the sound setup now for 5.1 and then redo it later when you hook up the other speakers for 7.1. It is easy and only takes a few minutes.
