Blu-ray vs dvd upscale

i havent seen id4 on bluray yet, but unimpressed on previous viewings, believe me i want to be

the ONLY reason i built this house was for my theater room, it is 24 by 28, and has pool table at that end with Wii, x360, ps3 setup, all prewired with klipsch speakers, the best i could buy the big hd screen, projector is where i saved some $, might have been dumb, but already spent a bunch and built a new home for it

i have the ps3 set right, not sure about the audio, i checked and it is on linear pcm, so i should receive BEST sound possible RIGHT? or not? i want all to play n 5.1 or greater and in hd audio or truehd if possible
