Awesome. I've never seen this one, but I really haven't been disappointed by one of his films yet.

I'm so in for this one....

random question. does Kino ever have sales like scream/shout and Olive does? I usually can get those for about $12.99 if I look hard enough (I've just never had much interest in Kino titles till recently now that JW and Bronson titles are being added + this of course)

Dr Goldfoot & The Girl Bombs might change that opinion.

It's looks excellent in HD. Approximates the theatrical experience very well (saw both around the same time a few years back).

One of my all-time favorites. Can we assume this will be AIP cut only? In any case, happy to see Tim Lucas on board, a Bava commentary from him is almost a requirement!

Awesome news. I've been on a Bava kick recently and this and Kill Baby Kill were the two that I was the most interested in, but both only have OOP dvds available on amazon for way too much. This will be the first Kino disc I buy!

I have been holding out on purchasing Kino discs for their less than stellar transfers. I read all these so-so reviews on Blu-Ray.com website and do not give Kino high marks. I have several Scorpion Releasing (Kino is branched from them) that look better because of remastering and Kino is known for "as is" transfers. Planet of the Vampires is from a MGM restoration and I hear it is good looking transfer. This will be my first Kino title as well. Prefer waiting to see what the UK has to offer.

If I remember right the midtnight movie DVD wasn't the AIP version which had restored footage and the Italian music soundtrack. So I'm guessing Kino will use the same print/neg from the DVD. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
