I think he's already camped out at his local Best Buy.

I expect he'll be declaring it the greatest A/V device ever created by man.

honestly i still watch a lot of my DVDs i cant ignor the 500+ DVDs i have laying around. So i would like the idea of having stellar up converting, but frankly i dont want to support any of Toshibas efforts and i encourage other people not to as well if you want blu-ray to stick around.

To counteract this "brilliant" idea I have recently pefected the super duper upconversion VHS player, now to remove errors from the tape on your old VHS's for clarity unmatched.

Pay pal sent!

...the representatives, including Emily Shirley, Head of Product Marketing at Toshiba Europe were obviously getting irate. "Blu-ray is only a storage medium", they retorted, ...
So what the heck is DVD? Or HD DVD for that matter. How about CD? Oh, and vynil records? Oh hey, here is an idea. Let's delete every other bit from our hard drives because storage devices simply don't deserve any respect. Then we can use SUC to fill in those missing bits and still have pretty reliable data.

From the tone of the article it is clear the press is against Toshiba. They are going to start losing a lot of media respect, as well as public support if they keep focusing their energies and money on "pay back" business stratagies.

Toshiba, you are a day late and a dollar short! However I see a real future for SUC technology. INSIDE BLU-RAY PLAYERS!

Sorry for the slight exaggeration, Toshiba isn't that mature.
