Try pchcables.com also. That's where I bought mine... I got the axis 1.3 premium cables (3ft. and 6ft.).

guys, you make it sound as if i'm bashing the no name cables! i certainly wasn't trying to tell this guy to go out and buy monsters. but i have had bad expeirences with cheap cables in the past, and was tired of replacing them every 6 months. for me, the extra cost is worth not having the aggrivation. solely my opinion.

I don't know how many factories actually produce HDMI cables, but I read that virtually all of them come from China. Some say the only difference among them is the packaging and the price. I can't say. But I bought 3 of them from MyCableMart.com for $6.29 each and have no problems. They also look very well made. They didn't look much different from the $120 cable they tried to sell me when I bought my TV.
I figure that if it fails, I'm only out 6 bucks! Heck, if you want assurance, buy 15 of them and if one goes, toss it and plug in another one; the cost is the same! As the others have said, with digital signaling, it either works or it doesn't. You could put 6 pounds of copper between your BDP and your TV and the picture wouldn't be any better. (Quality is more important with analog cables. Analog is more vulnerable to signal loss and interference.) In my opinion, there is no significant difference in the quality of HDMI cables. Spend the extra money on a battery backup or something. |

Here's how it should go down:
He decides, "why should I pay 10 times more for a cable just for a name?" Then, he thinks, "with all the money I saved, and the expensive equipment I have, and since I live in Florida, I should invest in a new UPS!" Then...I don't know ![]() |
