Go to Monoprice.com. Highly recommended! my understanding is nearly all hdmi cable brands are nearly the same when dealing with cable runs of around 12 feet or less.

Try pchcables.com also. That's where I bought mine... I got the axis 1.3 premium cables (3ft. and 6ft.).

I'm using eforcity.com cables and have had no problems. The prices are real low and the quality seems real good. Good luck shopping.

Let me guess...These reviews were sponsered by Monster or Best Buy or CC?

Seriously, since the signal is digtal (on/off, 0/1, whatever), the cable either works or it doesn't. Monoprice is THE best source for ALL of you cable needs (HDMI, speaker, subwoofer, etc.). You will get the same response from 99+% of the folks on this and other HT sites.

ALL my cables are Monster. I realize that i won't notice any difference between my $99.00 Monster HDMI's and a no name brand cable. I bought them more for the lifetime warranty and the peace of mind.

Did you do any calculation?

The cost of a Monster $99 cable (not even talking about those $199/299 ones)

you can buy 10 of the same cables with 1 Monster. Unless you rip/cut intentionally/accidentally on your cable, its not going to die on you for what? (ever? or lets say 5-10 years).

Now, that is 50 years of investment you put in at least and in 50 years, I dont think we'd be running 1.3a HDMI cables, I definitely hope not.

Lifetime warranty/peace of mind is pure marketing gimmick. I have been in business to do that..... hah.

anyway, Monoprice is the way to go, not to advertise for them, but they do offer excellent cheap alternatives that would do the same job. Many people here on $10,000+ audio equipment buy cables from them.

BTW, did you know that the fibre optics/cables are likely being made in the same place (country)?? Just different name. I know a Taiwan company does supply Monster their products and the company itself also supply mass distributors such as Monoprice.

Just wanted to add that I have four monoprice cables connecting my stuff (PS3 > 605, Cable DVR > 605, 605 > HDTV, and HD Videocam to HDTV) and couldn't be happier. Everything works as advertised.

I won't be convinced to pay more for cables anymore.

guys, you make it sound as if i'm bashing the no name cables! i certainly wasn't trying to tell this guy to go out and buy monsters. but i have had bad expeirences with cheap cables in the past, and was tired of replacing them every 6 months. for me, the extra cost is worth not having the aggrivation. solely my opinion.
