When's the last time you went? I've never seen a mouse there, or heard anything about that from anyone.

I went for Avengers Endgame opening weekend last time I was there. My mom used to frequent that place but she's a big yelp person and ever since seeing a few reviews about rats, she has avoided going

Someone on yelp even posted a picture and then I saw the AMC A list reddit and quite a few chimed in

The movie wasn't bad. Good that there weren't stupid jokes and one liners that there are in many movies today. The effects were good in some scenes but not so good in other scenes. Definitely worth a watch though.

the trailers make it seem like an action movie but I hear there's really not a lot of action and it's mostly a character study of the Will Smith character(s)

that's the only legit IMAX screen in NYC so I'm hoping the mouse issue is not real...

It's not the only legit one. The IMAX at Times Square is excellent. Laser IMAX, and the same sound system as Lincoln. Also the same seats. The 34th Street theater also has laser IMAX too, and they're building one at Kip's Bay as well. Lincoln is still the go-to one, but the Times Square one is great too.

Lincoln Square is the only 70mm IMAX...the AMC one in Times Square and 34th street are fake IMAX screens...the Times Square and 34th street ones are good for Dolby Vision but not real IMAX

Dude, they're not fake IMAX just because rhey doesn't have 70mm, stop talking nonsense. That's not the measure of a "fake" IMAX or not. Both Times Square and 34th have been completely renovated and have a laser system now, completely legit and official IMAX setups. Maybe try seeing it for yourself.

why are you getting so nasty and defensive when I'm trying to show you proof that what you're saying is incorrect...the only 70mm IMAX screen in NYC is Lincoln Square...if you've been to the ones in Times Square and other places then you can see that the screen is not the same size

yes it's using laser in those places which is very good but it's still not true 70mm IMAX...I even showed you the official IMAX website which lists the true 70mm locations in the USA...if you don't know or care what 70mm IMAX is then fine but don't get all defensive when someone is trying to point it out

Since you're clearly incapable of understanding and are using sources from over 10 years ago, I won't discuss this further. You simply don't get it. You don't even understand the 70mm thing at all, and how completely irrelevant that is. Hopefully someone with more patience than me can explain it to you. But hey, good luck watching all those hundreds of IMAX films at Lincoln in 70mm .

you seem like one of those people that hates being wrong and even when shown proof still refuses to admit they are wrong...the date of the article is irrelevant because the point remains the same...that's the first article that popped up but I'm sure there are tons of articles from 2019 out there as well...plus again go to the official IMAX website and it lists in plain English the theaters worldwide which are true 70mm IMAX

or Google 'fake IMAX'...or '70mm IMAX vs Laser projection'...but you don't seem capable of admitting you're wrong so it probably won't matter...educate yourself instead of acting defensive and hostile when someone tries to educate you

and if you think 70mm is irrelevant then it further shows your ignorance on the topic...maybe listen to some Christopher Nolan interviews where he discusses it in depth

You do realize that Lincoln is a laser IMAX right? You do also realize that barely any films at all are actually using 70mm film aside from maybe one Christopher Nolan every couple of years.

You don't actually think you're watching a 70mm presentation every time you see an IMAX film at Lincoln do you?

you're trying to change the subject to something else...I've stated it as clear as day...Lincoln Square is the only true 70mm IMAX screen in NYC...if you don't want to believe that (or believe the IMAX website) then fine believe whatever you want...IMAX laser is the 2nd best but it's not the same...if you've been to a real 70mm I don't know how you can confuse that with a laser projected IMAX screen...

like I said your true nature comes out when confronted with facts that go against what you previously believed and you for some reason can't accept that

I'll ask again, how many films at Lincoln IMAX do you believe are being shown in 70mm?

From my knowledge, true IMAX is 70mm film, with a 1:43:1 aspect ratio, to fit that particular screen.

Yes, only Nolan does this, although some directors shot select sequences in IMAX 70mm.

to me real IMAX is just that...all these Avengers movies etc filmed with IMAX ARRI Alexa digital cameras are not real IMAX...I only watch movies on an IMAX screen if it's filmed with real IMAX cameras (Dunkirk, First Man, Wonder Woman 1984, MI: Ghost Protocol etc)
