Honestly, any Touchstone films on Blu-Ray that haven’t gotten one yet same with Hollywood Pictures films that don’t have Blu-Rays yet. Disney, just really needs to loosen up control, and allow other companies to release these films on Blu-Ray as the fact none of these films have gotten Blu-Rays is really sad.

As far as TV shows, the Peter Horton / John Glover supernatural series Brimstone is one that I still fly the flag for after 25 years. I actually paid $35 for a bootleg DVD set at a convention a decade ago to own a copy of the full series, which was all ripped from Canada's Space Channel. It's a nice rip, but I'd immediately pay for an official release. It aired on Fox, but is owned by Warner Bros. I was even part of the letter writing campaign to get the show renewed after its 13 episode cancellation in the 1998-99 season.
I know there are a few licensed songs on the show, but not that many. Regardless of the demand it once had when TVShowsOnDVD.com was still around, WB never invested any interest in releasing it. I covered the show in a full video retrospective back in 2016, and the video has over 21K views and 500+ likes with over a 160 comments from fans who still remember the show and wish there was some way for them to watch it again. For a show that's likely not seen air on any major cable or syndication channel in maybe 10-15 years and was never given any commercial home video release, I'd say that's notable. I'm not the only person on YouTube that's highlighted it either, and many articles have listed it as one of the best shows to be canceled. If it's not going to up on VOD, then, Warner Archive would be my last hope for it. While the show was canceled mid-season, the final episode did offer some sense of emotional closure. So, it wasn't a terrible end, but had potential for so much more! |

May I put in another nod for Brimstone? I loved it and especially loved John Glover and the Peter Gabriel soundtrack.
I have a 60s desire on blu ray that I suspect will never happen, unless someone can tell me who owns Selmur Productions assets now (I suspect it is Disney). Garrison's Gorrilas and I Spy. |

In no particular order...
-Unaltered versions of all movies by Lucas, Cameron, Mann, and Friedkin -Raintree County -The uncut version of The Devils -Greed -Let It Be -All John Waters films with their original soundtracks -Looking For Mr. Goodbar -Both cuts of Mike’s Murder (confirmed to exist) -The original cut of The Black Cauldron (confirmed to exist) -The original cut of 2001: A Space Odyssey (confirmed to exist) -The lost versions of Freaks, Ambersons, A Star Is Born, Dr. Strangelove, A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Times Square, Deadly Friend, and Child’s Play 1 (all still lost) -The chronological cuts, broadcast cuts, and rough cuts of all Godfather movies -A box set of Blade Runner with all cuts in it (the coaster collections from 2007 and 2012 don’t count) -A copy of Reservoir Dogs that finally has perfect picture and perfect sound -The Matrix with proper color timing -Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair -Complete series of Beavis And Butt-head, SNL, Carson (everything that survives) Full House, and Cold Case with all music intact -Complete series of I Love Lucy, Bewitched, M*A*S*H, and Dallas -Complete series Jerry Springer (surprisingly, the age, length, episode count, and 100% survival rate have accidentally given this show many records, and also it’s funny as hell) -Something from the catalogs of Disney, Fox, Touchstone, and Hollywood so we know that they still exist -A Blu-ray of The Three Stooges that isn’t missing half of the f*cking shorts, Sony. -_- That film has at the very least a 2K scan of an interpositive, possibly more. During the 2022 Oscars, when J.K. Simmons was mentioned, they played the clip of Jesse blackmailing Simmons’ character in The Ref, and it looked great. (For reference, it looks nothing like the ugly-ass 1994-1995 transfer that’s on every home video copy in the US.) I don’t know whether that’s on streaming, I don’t know whether that’s out in another country, but outside of that award show I’ve never seen that transfer or anything close to it. Every other time I’ve seen it it’s that same old transfer from the 90s that looks awful. Presumably The Ref is neither a special case nor an anomaly. Given Disney’s money, men, and resources, they likely have several thousand restored transfers by now, and they’re just sitting there. |

I’ve honestly kind of given up on any Touchstone, Fox, or Hollywood Pictures titles that don’t have Blu-Rays yet to get Blu-Rays as Disney sucks, and that hasn’t changed at all even with this Sony Distribution deal. It really infuriates me, but I’ve given up hope for any titles from those studios to get Blu-Rays from Disney so there ya go.
