Cruise generally delivers in action flicks. I'm looking forward to this one. Probably be at home, though (preferably in 3D, if Universal can manage it).

I dont mean to be rude but in the trailer it looks so bad imo, is it much like the trailer "says" it is?

Not even out in theaters yet and Universal is already getting butthurt over the movie just like they did with The Great Wall 3D. No 3D, No Purchase. No 3D, No Pre-Order!!

If they can put out a Blu-Ray 3D release of WarCraft 3D, then there's no excuse for Universal to refuse to release non-imported Blu-Ray 3D combo packs of The Great Wall 3D and The Mummy 3D

And before I hear the "3D is dead" excuse, no it's NOT!! If 3D was dead no movie studio would EVER put out 3D movies. In closing, if it gets advertised in theaters in 3D, then it deserves a non-imported Blu-Ray 3D combo pack release.

There's nothing wrong with this movie.....the trailer doesn't show it all.....it's a fun summertime movie , so don't expect anything deep.

It was pure, uncut crap. Kurtzman must never write nor direct ever again.

I liked it. It's not perfect, but it's still fun. Feels like Universal had a very heavy hand every step of their way which leaves Kurtzman unable to find his own voice, so I hope he's allowed to forge his own path in the sequel if they make it.

It sounds like exactly the kind of flashy and silly nonsense that makes a billion dollars.

Was it just me or did a lot of shots in this movie seem ever so slightly out of focus? Detail would swing from sharp to soft so much, I wasn't sure if it was my theatre or the movie itself.

Tom Cruise could be having a much better career at this point. He's work with Paul Thomas Anderson, Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, and Stanley Kubrick. Not a lot of actors can claim to have that CV. He should be achieving much higher than playing a version of himself he can marvel at.

Or not.

It's funny what people flock to. You can't blame Universal at all for thinking their monsters mixed with dumb and silly action of the Marvel style would make a billion dollars. Then it actually flops. I don't buy that reviews decide this stuff, as well-reviewed movies flop all the time and bashed moves succeed. I kind of want to say this movie just had bad trailers that made it look dumb.
