Did Imprint themselves do scans of The Outer Limits? Or was it a case of decent HD masters had already been made in the US and they were just ready for them to use?
Disappointing to hear about the Hitchcock Hour.

Well that's what's been stated everywhere, but you might have a point. I looked it up, & it seems CDs are exempt, & maybe books, but I can't find anywhere where it's stated that DVD & Blu-rays are.

Not that any of this affects me, I never send anything to the US.

Not completely sure, but Kino Lorber released The Outer Limits in the US in 2018 and that release, in terms of PQ, was pristine. Imprint released it in 2020, again pristine. So yeah, I’m assuming it was the same master.

But that was over five years ago.

The Alfred Hitchcock Hour was given a “new” 2K scan, but that doesn’t work to clean-up scratches, dirt, etc. More restoration was needed. I thought Via Vision was doing this now, because of some of their other new releases I’ve seen. But I guess I was wrong.

Anyway, any Hitchcock deserves better.

Even more excited for Battle of Britain in 4K than I was for A Bridge Too Far.
