That would’ve completed her arc nicely.
[Show spoiler]and even then when Frank tells her that information in Kills, her reaction is just "meh". Lol.

I've seen this for the first time recently. I have only seen the first five films in this franchise. I thought this film was very well done. The beginning was interesting and there are some great scenes especially the one with
[Show spoiler]the crashed prison bus.
The score is masterful! The one complaint I have with it is the liberal use of profanity. I know it's a rated R movie and profanity in our society is more commonplace but I wish that movie-makers can elevate the writing to where profanity is only used in special situations like reacting to onscreen violence and such. It makes it more powerful when it's used sparingly. I know I may be in the minority on this but there is way too much profanity in our movies and music and it is extremely tiring and irritating.

If you think this movie has a lot of profanity you should watch Rob Zombie’s Halloween and see how it compares.

Yes, I have heard about Rob Zombie movies, Lol! I'll have to check 'em out! I'm now reminded of a movie I've seen with a lot of profanity in it. Scarface (1983). I haven't seen it in awhile but I remember liking it. It must have been well-used profanity! Lol

I remember buying Scarface on DVD years ago and I believe there’s a feature that lets you watch the film with a counter that displays how many times the F word is said.

Zombies Halloween II is like one of those edgy student theatre shows, or an Edinburgh Fringe show, where they just fill it up with outlandish language, because they can.

If it weren't for the few lame attempts at humor this would be a nearly perfect Halloween film. I like it more and more with each rewatch.

It's probably my 2nd favorite "sequel" (not counting SOTW) behind HII (1981) and I might even like it a bit more than H4.

Yeah that's one of my main complaints about this film too. Like the dad and his constant "jokes" and the embarrassing scene with the 2 cops talking about their lunches in their car. Huh? Can we get back to our regularly scheduled program here lol? Not sure but does the kid arguing with his dad about preferring dance class over hunting count as attempted humor? The film has warmed on me over repeat viewings though. That said, I'll have no problem erasing it and Kills from existence in my mind if I end up not liking Ends. Don't like them that much to be honest.

I wish they would screen those jokes more thoroughly because they just do not work. They almost seem to function as an inside joke for the crew. Like, wow, this silly one-liner made us all crack up on set, so let's just put it in the movie just for us. But they're tonally awful and eye-rolling. But whatever, I can deal with them and move on if the rest of the movie pulls its weight. And I think Halloween 18 does.

I like '18 and as far as I'm concerned, it's the beginning and the end of this new chapter of Halloween.

Yeah they just don't fit with the rest of the film at all especially the scene with the cops. I'm baffled by that scene. Almost seems like a blooper that was meant to be cut but they forgot.

I hated how indulgent it was. Like Zombie couldn't remake this horror classic without making the main players part of his larger Devil's Rejects world. I did enjoy the first movie though. Michael was brutal and ruthless.

I loved 2018. The scenes with Michael reintroducing himself to Haddonfield. The scene where he reveals himself to Laurie's daughter and John Carpenter's guitar can be heard prominently on the soundtrack. So great.
