The 21st is the UK release date, which is a Monday...the US release will be on Tuesday the 22nd!!!

Interesting that it is expected to be released in the UK the same week as the US release since Criterion is obviously not in the UK.

I'm still pleasantly surprised that Criterion has A Hard Day's Night. I assumed that Apple Records would be releasing it on Blu (which reminds me, I still need to buy Yellow Submarine).

Well, Criterion had the rights for this on laserdisc back in the day. It gives me hope that maybe we'll get a better transfer of Help! eventually.

Janus Films, their parent company is handling the US theatrical re-release via TCM Film Festival...it's listed in TCM's website if you wanna find out for yourself!!!

No, there has been no confirmation. There are strong indications, but there has been nothing from Criterion about it.

They're waiting for official word from the Beatles themselves to announce this at their website, which should happen any time now...they're the license-holders for this title, along with billionaire Bruce Kirsch, who bought Walter Shensen's rights to both "A Hard Day's Night" and "Help!" six years ago...
