We got these in today. If the file sizes are as small as they said they are on the website then why do they need to put 285GB on the back of the box?

All the extra crap that isn’t in the game at launch that is being put aside for you to buy later.... Yeah

Activision already knows exactly how much that space will take up because it’s already completed. The box is accurate.

The same reason NBA 2K21 says it needs a lot more space than the install size. Sony still didn't address the stupidity they have had since the PS3 where you need a bunch of extra space to install stuff. I don't know how many times on PS4 I have had to delete 30GB to update a game and then the update wasn't even 1GB.

I can confirm.

Looks like you can just install the multiplayer or campaign. I will have to decide. Still downloading but got 10GB left but it is bouncing around, down to 9 then back up to 10 now down to 8. I installed 5 games if you count Astro playroom.

Call of duty modern warfare, Call of duty Cold War, last of us part 2, Spider-man Miles Morales

Probably going to get this on the 1X. I really can't see much kind of difference to what they can do on the 1X with CoD at the moment compared to the PS5 version. No big deal...

I'm tempted on the ps5 for the dualsense features. Kinda curious what they'll do for this game with the new controller.

The cross hair just looked "off" to me the entire time i watched this last night and a buddy i was watching along with also felt it didn't look right. Is it because it's thicker and white solid. It just didn't seem like anything i'm used to on a normal crosshair from COD.

Figured out what felt "off" to me. It's a crosshair of hit markers popping up on a bullet hit to enemies even when you are aimed down on a red dot sight and only when you have a shot conmect to the enemy. That just takes away a little bit of the "realism" of aiming down a red dot sight and seeing an enemy flinch to the bullets. Adding marker effects on top seems silly imo.

This one looks consistently more appealing with each bit of news. Love the new stuff they announced for zombies.

LMFAO 285GB minimum

Guess it's a good thing the games being split in to multiple content packs.

Played the beta over the week -end. I like that COD is getting closer and closer to the Battlefield serie (bigger maps and vehicules) but with much better weapons. I really liked my two days with it.

File Size (at launch)*

In order to pre-load Black Ops Cold War, you must have the following free drive space on your platform:

PlayStation 4: 95GB

PlayStation 5: 133GB

Xbox One: 93GB

Xbox Series X|S: 136GB

Note: console players can choose to uninstall specific game mode packs, such as for Campaign or Zombies, in order to reduce the game’s overall file size. This content can be managed in-game through the “Account & Network” section of the Settings menu.

PC: 35 GB (Multiplayer Only) / 82GB (Full Game) / 125GB (Full Game on Ultra Graphics)

Note: PC players can also choose to install specific game mode packs, such as for Campaign and Zombies, in order to reduce the game's overall file size. Also note the updated PC file size numbers.
