Default Klipsch Center Suggestions

So I've been throwing around the idea of upgrading my center. Right now I have the Klipsch SC-1. It gets the job done but definitely has to be adjusted to compliment the fronts, which are RF-3's.

I've been pleased with the RF-3's but would like something to match at the center position....so....my question is I've found some good deals on some RC-35 (which are a little older, but larger than my SC-1).

Should I go with an older style RC-35 for a good price or fork out the money for something like the RC-52 or RC-62?

Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks!

Most of the RC-35's i see are comparably priced to the RC-52, but the 35 has a little more power handling and wider frequency range, i believe. Now most of the 62's i see are at least $200 bucks up the ladder. I've been looking at the 35's myself, since i think the 62 might be a little overkill in comparison to my fronts and my room.

Yeah even though the RC-35 are discontinued you can still find some in excellent or brand new condition for around $200 (give or take).

I just want to match the best I can to the rest of my setup, but also get a good product for a decent price.

My Center Channel is the RC-62. I assure you that the quality is excellent.

you'd be better matched with the rc-35's IMO, id also consider that the specs are almost similar to the 62's even if the 62's have 6.5 drivers.

your rf-3's are running 6inch drivers, id stick to them, or you can go bigger.

the rc-35's albeit a discontinued model, can definitely do the job for a tad less on the budget minded.

I bought an open box 52 from 6ave, it looks brand new. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from there open box selection again....which I did and picked up RS52s
as well (brand new appearing as well).

Something to consider.

Where did you find the 35 online?

I've seen them on Amazon and eBay at different times. I'll probably go for the RC-35 but may end up going for an open box RC-62, just to keep the size consistency.

You could go with a RC-3, RC-7, RC-35 any one of these would sound great. I have a RC-3 in my bedroom setup with the RF-3's and it sounds great. I would also see if you could get a pair of RS-3's, they sound great in that setup. I had the RC-35 and I didn't care for it as much as the RC-3. Klipsch sells the 35 with the 3's but I didn't think it matched that well. If you wanna spend some change, the Rc-7 would be a killer. Good luck, if you need help located any of these speakers, PM me I can get you all of them.
