Default Friday The 13th 3-D Blu-ray vs DVD Version

After reading an interesting comment on here about the 3-D version on DVD being better then 3-D version on Blu-ray, I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone else thought.
Some people on fridaythe13thfilms.com have said that the new DVD re-releases of Friday 1-8 on DVD are fantastic, which makes me think, is it worth waiting till they all come out on blu-ray?

The new DVD is nowhere near as sharp as the blu-ray. Who told you that?

You want the best quality? Wait for the blu-ray editions. The new DVDs are good, sure, but they can't compete with the clarity and color depth of the HD versions on blu-ray. No contest.

See this review for comparisons between all versions.

They came to the same conclusion.

It is always tough to wholeheartedly recommend a Blu-ray upgrade to a DVD that was so recently released, since the transfer is often identical, just with the added resolution and color space afforded by the new format. This time, though, it’s more than just a sharper picture. With Friday the 13th, Part 3, the crispness of Blu-ray turns what was before a serviceable 3D experience into a must see. It really does look fantastic. Don’t believe me? Try on the 3D glasses from the DVD release (they are identical to the two sets included on this Blu-ray) and check the captures out for yourself. The 2D titling sequence is unfortunate, but other than that one repeated mistake, the rest of this presentation is a total treat to behold. Finally, the 3D presentation this film deserves!

Have you actually compared the DVDs in question to the BDs in question?

Yes. I own the new 3-d blu-ray, and have watched the previous (2000) and new (2009) DVD versions (accidentally had the new one Netflixed to me, so I figured I might as well watch it while I waited for the blu-ray version to arrive from Amazon).

There is no comparison.

It is. The 3D on the DVD version was...just OK. But on blu-ray, the added clarity and sharpness of the image made the 3D actually work like it was supposed to. I mean, the older 3D process has never been that great, but I was pleasantly surprised at how this turned out.
