Default Help needed for Audio problems on LG BD390 Blu-ray player

Here's the problem I am facing with the Blue-Ray DVD player: When I skip a chapter or start fast forwarding a movie, sometimes the audio goes away
completely. I can see the picture fine but cannot hear anything. The
problem is quite inconsistent and does not happen always, hence it
cannot be replicated easily. Initially I thought that the Blue-Ray DVD
was faulty but I have experienced the same issue on many Blue-Ray
DVDs. I called LG customer service twice and they recommended some
changes to the audio setting but that has not helped either. Any ideas what the problem and solution is? Thanks in advance.

To me this sounds like a player issue. I have never experienced anything similar on the PS3. LG would be the final authority on how to fix the problem.
