Blu-ray on component cables/PS3

Hello,
I recently bought the PS3, which is an excellent machine, (traded in glitchbox 360). My HDTV, if you can call it that, is 1080p, but it's a lower end CRT Insignia model (picture quality to me is super, but it's my first HDTV, and i'm not too picky). So it only has component inputs. The games will run 1080p, and unprotected DVDs upscale to 1080p (protected run 480i)

Anyway, my question is, if I runa Blu-ray movie, I know it won't do 1080p without the HDCP compliant device, but with component, will i get 1080i/720p, or 480i/p. I wanted to know before I buy a BD Movie.
