Universal: "THE LOOK AND SOUND OF PERFECT"

Disney: "DISNEY BLU-RAY. BETTER THAN PERFECT."

.. it doesn't get much clearer than that!

I've got both pirates and invincible and they have arguably the best overall PQ and SQ of any BD I own.

That is one heck of a classy ad.

Another reason I'm a proud Blu-ray supporter.

Way to go Disney.

NOTE: It's important to write the Studios in the BD camp and let them know you're supporting their efforts in the marketplace. Only a few letters coming in goes a long way.

I find it interesting that they are willing to take a shot at HD DVD like that. Sounds like they are planning on fighting for Blu-ray, although actions speak louder than words and hopefully they'll back all this up with more great releases. I don't know if this kind of swipe makes Universal more likely to go neutral (seeing that Disney is indicating that they are going to stand their ground), or whether it will make Universal dig their heals in deeper.

I tried to post this 2 weeks ago...but I had trouble copying it from the Nielsen scan...

Disney has invested heavily into BD at this point and should stand by their decision...

Universal on the other hand has half-assed recent efforts...

Yes... actions speak louder than words.

I have worked for Disney, Universal and Paramount. Like I said...WRITE LETTERS.

If anyone does not know this, in most marketing metrics 1 vote counts for 1000. If they get 5 letters, that generally means they have heard from 5000 people. If we want to see BD succeed...WRITE LETTERS.

It is quite amazing what Disney is doing right now. There films are looking and sounding better than everyones, including sony. They make me proud to own blu-ray.

After getting my first Disney BD "The Prestige" I was blown away. I was a little worried because when Disney first went to DVD they werent that great.

But Disney is treating Blu-ray almost like they invented it. BRAVO BUENA VISTA!!!!!!!!!!! BRING ON THE PIXAR MOVIES!

Anyone else catch that the Blu-ray logo is much bigger than the Disney logo?

I just watched Gone In 60 Seconds last night. Aside from an occssional speckle here and there, it's a very nice disc. I don't even have to say anything about Pirates. Hopefully everyone takes Disney's attitude and runs with it.

Agreed, to this day Open Season's PQ still amazes me, that right next to POTC 2 that is.

Thats amazing, especially for an older movie, though I havent really been dissapointed in PQ yet, blood diamond is on the verge, but there are some amazing scenes where the PQ is excellent.

Warner puts out The Prestige..

edit: I just checked out the section of movies on this site and it says Disney/Buena Vista on it....but on the back of the BD it says Warner...
