Default Dreamcast 10th Anniversary 9-9-99 to 9-9-09

It seems crazy that the Dreamcast came out 10 years ago on Wednesday in the US. I bought the system day one and bought NFL 2K, which me and my friends played for hours on end. Just wanted to start this thread for any other fans out there. Also here is a link to a really good article on the Dreamcast that IGN wrote for the anniversary.

I have a Genesis and a Saturn. Saturn was on par with the Playstation at the time it came out. Never bought into the Dreamcast.

Can't believe this game hasn't been mentioned yet, but I bought the DreamCast specifically for Jedi Power Battles. Game was fun in single player, and awesome in multiplayer coop. Loved this game.

Dreamcast had HANDS DOWN the best software lineup at launch than any other console in history!! These were the available games at LAUNCH people...

Sonic Adventure
Soul Calibur
NFL 2K
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing
Mortal Kombat Gold
Hydro Thunder
House of the Dead 2
Power Stone

That list is amazing!! I doubt we'll ever see another console launch with that many great titles at once! R.I.P. Dreamcast! You were a hell of a system!

Yeah unfortunately where I grew up and was living in 99, only had walmart and kb toys to buy your games at. I think almost no one in my hometown bought a DC, i walked into kb on 9-9-99 told em to give me a dc and I think I bought 3 games. I wanted way more games but I was only 18 at the time and the cash flow was very low.

Then we'd be able to get a system that doesn't have a fail rate.

http://www.ign.com/top-25-consoles/index.html

I got my Dreamcast for Christmas of '99 along with Sonic Adventures. It's too bad that they quit making games for it like 2 years after it came out. I still maintain that the Dreamcast had the greatest controller of all-time.

I still liked the Genesis better. It has an absolutely MASSIVE library of awesome games.
