Default Rumble Controller Included With 80Gb Bundle?

For those of you who haven't heard yet, there have been some rumors, and THIS video showcasing what some believe to be the new ShockAxis controller.

The red light is under the PS button on the new controller, as shown on the box in THIS image for the 80Gb bundle:

If I remember clearly, we saw that design before, but in the video, it is clearly a different controller.

The questions are- Is that actually the ShockAxis controller? Will that be included with the 80Gb bundle?

I doubt it will have the red light. In my newest EGM Magazine there is the 5 BD offer and the pic of that PS3 the controller has the red light. Although people who have added there own LED's have said the circuitry for power is already there. I will be buying a "Shockaxis" if it has a red light great, if not I won't be bummed but it does seem like false advertising all over the place. It think considering the 80GB comes out so soon it won't have the rumble controller.

It would be discouraging for me, seeing that I have 3 SixAxis', and I wasn't expecting a rumble controller so soon :-/.

Though I've modded and added LEDs to my Wii controllers I've been too lazy to do so with my PS3 controllers, although the red lights do bother me. I've never understood why they weren't blue and/or green to go with the rest of the system.

I have 2 six axis controllers but really it's just like in the beggining of the PS life.

You bought a regular controller

Then you had to buy a controller with analog sticks

Then you had to buy a dual shock controller.

The answer to the question lies in the answer to this question: Why would Sony include Motorstorm in the new SKU? To show off Rumble perhaps? Its the only logical answer.

That would be a huge anouncment at E3. Sony saying that we made rumble and it'll be on sale...Tomorrow.

i agree, if they have added rumble to motorstorm, well thats cool but hardly anyones gona be able to apreciate the feature. Rumble is good but i dont have it on pc,psp,ds,wii so its not realy the end of the world if ps3 misses out, we have motion sensitive instead. just make more games like lair and warhawk which support the feature we already have.

The image used is taken from a controller hooked up to a PS3 Test Unit.

the controllers having rumble would help justify the 100 bucks more along with the game and HDD space..

Technically any led on either extreme of the visible spectrum is bad for you.

Which is why seizures happen.

Jack Tretton just had an interview on G4TV and he said:

No plans for a rumble controller at this time. Will be considered in the future if the consumers are intent on having one.

I found this on maxconsole.com about the red light on the controller with the new 80gb PS3
Quote:
Sony seeks to clarify mysterious red lighted PS button on PS3 controller

Sony has finally responded to speculation regarding the lighted PS button as shown as the new 80GB Motorstorm PS3 bundle box. But as per usual, there are conflicting reports on the matter from Sony reps themselves. David Karraker commented that what we saw was just an odd lighting effect, while Patrick Seybold commented that the home button glows red when you charge a debug controller and this is not an indication of a new rumble enabled PS3 controller.
