Question Best Clint Eastwood Western?

Was watching 2 and 1/2 Men, one scene was great. Charlie walks into the room and asks Alan, "What are you watching?" He replies, "A Clint Eastwood movie." Charlie looks at the TV, "Bridges of Madison County! Even Clint Eastwood doesn't consider that a Clint Eastwood movie!"

What is the best Clint Eastwood Western?

For me, it is The Outlaw Josey Wales.

Pale Rider is great, the water canons at the mine should rock in HD, and the crack of the hickory ax handle upside a head will be clear too. Haven't seen it, waiting for Chinese subtitles.

Is it good? The review here seems to be saying no.

I Love ALL of Clint's Westerns Including his role in Wertern TV Series before he made it to the Big Screen.

But once he did make it to the Big Screen He became the Best Western Star in Show-Biz(And I mean NO dis-respect to John Wayne)I just liked Clint's Movies More,But That is Only My Opinion As John Wayne Mad e Some Great Movies Himself.

But as far as Clint was concerned the "Spaghetti Westerns" were the Cream of the Crop.

#1 = The Good,The Bad,and The Ugly (The Extended Version,NOT The Shortened,Edited Version They Show On TV From Time to Time. But the 3+ hour version)

#2 = For A Few Dollars More

#3 = A Fist Full Of Dollars

#4 = Hang Em High

#5 = UnForgiven

#6 = Pale Rider

#7 = The Outlaw Josey Wales

And after these first 7 Movies,Any and Every Other Western Clint was In.

Good list - and appropriate profile name! I'd maybe swap The Good, the Bad & the Ugly for Two Mules, though....

Thought about it.

And wasn't sure about including Coogan's Bluff which is a Western the same as No Country for Old Men is. As well Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, they just have cars instead of horses. And not sure about Paint Your Wagon, it isn't really a Clint Eastwood movie is it?

This is going to seem like "safe" choices, but my favorites are The Good, the Bad & the Ugly and Unforgiven. Two of my all time favorite movies, not just Eastwood movies.
