Smile 480p gaming lag

So I wasn't sure where to post this, so I did it here... Anyhow...
I have been the owner of two HDTVs over the last three years, both LCD, one a 720p 37" LG, the other a 1080p 40" Samsung. The issue I'm having is with the Nintendo Wii, which, as you know, outputs 480p max. You see, I'm getting slight lag, not even noticeable during most games, but it makes Guitar Hero somewhat of a challenge to play. (Yes, I know about the in-game lag adjustment, and I also know it's crap). Does anyone else have this issue? If so, did you find a way to fix it? Are there certain types of hdtvs that are lag free? Thanks all!

Default Lag

The lag you are experiencing is one of the problems common with LCD TVs. No, there is no fix for it. Is there an HDTV without it ? Yes. Plasmas.

I would attribute that to guitar hero before i laid blame on LCD. Their games have been less then accurate since around guitar hero 2 on the audio to video sync end of things. To the point where you can't really play with the rhythm and instead have a better shot with the mute button and hitting the cords that way.

I play mostly 480 games, ps2 back to nes, and guitar hero is one of the only games i can say drove me nuts in this regard. Can't say i have ever noticed lag with any offline content, unless you have pretty crappy LCD.
