CoD WaW - Lag Bugs Lag

wow.. i have a 10mb internet connection.. my d/l speeds are great from my PC.. never been an issue.. but DAMN... COD 5 is a trainwreck when it comes to connectivity. I have even tried bypassing my router to see if it was something with that... seriously only get 3 bars .. usually 2.. and I would say that 3 out of 5 games gets a "host lost connectivity" error or times out in the lobby.

very frustrating... love the game but when lag is so horrible it is not fun.

yeah i had no problems on COD4 either, have't gotten COD5, heard it was made by different company than COD4 so figured i would wait til COD6 comes out, haha but the lag is an issue on Socom too. but it is getting better on socom.

COD 5 rocks, I love it. The tanks are bad ass, a challenge to take out, and a blast to gun from. The dogs are insane too, I love sniping them as they run at you.

this was an issue with COD4, tons of connectivity issues, being kicked out of games and lobbies. A patch was soon released fixing the issue with COD4 i would expect the same thing with COD5. Games after they are just released always have issues, but there will always be a fix.

very odd indeed..

its quite frustrating tho. my pc downloads are faster than they have ever been now that i moved up to the 10mb internet speed.. just my ps3 gaming connections suck monkey balls.

Yeah I have no lag issues .... unless a bad host in a room ... but rare.

Now, there are other issues tho ... hard to get all your peeps in one party ... people not recieving the invites and stuff ....

plus it lost rankings on Friday seems to be fixed now though ... it sucked.

I went down 4 ranks cuz the stupid sh!t didnt save it or whatever ... happened to tons of others too... it was a widespread problem reported on callofduty.com

lol yeah I was shocked that I was getting 29mb dl speed with comcast but the main reason I think is I am prob the only person in my neighborhood with it everyone else is using DSL so I have no one to share the bandwith with

If you're using a bluetooth headset it might create bad lag problems like my warhawk jabra is currently doing to me...

Your connection speed has nothing to do with it, It is the host of the game....

That is why I do a find game until I am host, otherwise you will be stuck in some game hosted by someone who has a crap connection and everyone in that game, except the host, will have only 2 bars....

My comcast runs about the same as yours except my upload is a little faster. I have that 'speed' pack or whatever they offer for $10 more though.

I get major lag in COD5 to the point I will only play multiplayer if I'm hosting. It's funny because I'll end up in the middle scores somewhere if I'm not hosting but if I host I'm number one every single time and by no small amount. So, obviously there is a big lag issue. All you have to do is watch the killcam to see how much of one... Count your shots and your enemies shots then watch the kill cam. I usually blow a magazine and a grenade at least before an enemy kills me, on my screen, and then it has them kill me with one shot. Funny thing that the killcam only shows me shooting one bullet then them shooting like 3+. That's serious lag.

It's actually the same issue I had with COD4 originally and why I never wanted to play it online (and why I'm avoiding COD5 online, atm). It's just lame. COD4 did finally fix it and I was able to rally normal; however, it took almost a year for them to do so (maybe it was just the drop in players, who knows).

Anyone else seen how bad this is? Not since the hokey old days of Medal of Honour on the PC have i seen so many spawn campers & @ssholes lurking underneath maps & in inaccessable places. Last night on the map in the railyard this guy was killing everyone & on killcam you could see he was actually underneath the map. On the Courtyard map it kept respawning our team in the same place every time & their was 3 @ssholes having a Turkey shoot, eventually i respawned elsewhere & i managed to get round the back & kill all the Clan [DEV] but not before they'd spawn killed our team & in the lobby trying to tell us how awesome their Clan was!
This was acceptable 5 years ago on the PC but not in 2008 surely!

i also noticed that people seem to spawn right behind me or i will spawn and get sniped instantly. i think there are people who have no life and play 24/7 and find all the exploits in the game. i am glad people like that found something they like and make it a lifestyle but i choose to game for a casual hobby and do other things with my life.

there is a video for that, its roundhouse glitch .... im sure it will get patched ... or people will just mass "skip" that map over time when it comes the "norm" for fools to do that constantly.
