Legend of the Seeker on Blu-ray? - Blu-ray Forum

I've recently become addicted to the TV series Legend of the Seeker (through random airings on the sci-fi channel). Does anyone know if this is coming out on blu-ray soon? I could only find the dvd boxset online.

No plans for a blu-ray release yet. I read on the Amazon board that they are waiting on the cost of blu-ray to come down a bit. The only television series ABC is releasing on blu right now is Lost. Hopefully when it comes time to put out a season two release, they'll be ready for Blu and go ahead a release season one as well.

The second season has been very strong (better than the first season in my opinion) up until this point. It will be a shame if we do not get it on Blu-ray. I strongly doubt that having skipped over the first season already when the dvd came out, that we will ever see season one on BD.

I totally agree, this show rocks. I missed the first season and picked up with the Season 2 premiere. I read that the 1st season started ok and got better with each episode. I hope this show lasts a while like Xena. I won't buy DVD's anymore, where is the Blu-ray!?!

I initially wasn't that impressed with the first couple of episodes; it seemed rather silly. But if it really does get better as it goes on, I might have to give the series another try some day, especially on BD!

My wife loves this show. She also agrees that it's gotten better and better. It's very rare that she thinks a show is good enough to buy and actually watch over and over, and that's the way she feels about this show. I don't like buying DVDs any more but I may have to until the Blu-ray comes out.

I'm surprised it isn't out on blu. The HD from Dish looks great to me.

I rented season one on DVD and was instantly hooked. I've recently been watching season two via PSN. Even at 720p this show looks great. I'd love to see it at 1080p.

When the heck is this coming to BD?

There is a good chance the show does not make it to a third season.

The producers are looking to see if another syndication deal can be made for it. Season two has looked even better than season one in HD.

Clark, hope you're wrong. This show rocks. I liked the 1st season; the 2nd season has eclisped the 1st, hands down. I really hope they continue. The season ends soon, so I guess we'll findut soon enough if it continues. Really hope it does.

it's been 'canceled' for a while, too many of their affiliates pulled out of airing the show since it's syndicated. ABC or ABC Family should've picked it up since it's a Disney property.. better than half the crap on ABC, and better than everything on ABC Family, they could've used it as some sort of launching pad to add more shows geared toward a male demographic, because ABC Family only has girly shows now. Kyle XY was the only show that fit the male audience and they canceled that. LOTS could've done well on a real channel i believe

the ONLY good thing to come out of canceling it would be if they release a complete series Blu-ray.

I would by no means say that this was a great series, but it was entertaining enough and featured some attractive actresses. S1 was much better than what followed.

Would love a blu-ray.
