I believe there was a rumor that Warner would be announcing that they were going exclusively to Blu-ray, but that didn't happen that day. I could be wrong though.

So it was a bomb hitting the Legislative House in the Phillippines that everybody had to log on that day? Or am I missing something?

Fun days back then. Everyone was on the edge waiting for Warner to end the war in Blu-ray's favor.

At the bottom of the forum listings is a list of all the current users and it says, "Most users ever logged in at once" or some junk like that. It was on that day.

The Star Wars Original Trilogy Han Shoots Only and Jar Jar Free Prequels Blu-ray Steelbook w/ Slipcover was released that day. Those of us that checked the site were able to go pick up those movies for $19.99 each at Best Buy before they sold out. As we all know, they have been out of print since then.

It was awesome.

Even SEEING those blu-ray covers(yes I know they're photoshopped from the DVD covers) makes me very sad indeed. I don't know if this makes me pathetic or not but the day those 6 films hit blu-ray will probably be the best day of my life.

I believe I read somewhere that there was a K-Mart coupon that was scanned and posted that allowed people to get 20 % off anything in store. It was only for employees or friends or something. Anyway, I believe everyone was printing them off and getting cheap PS3's and stuff.

I also think this is why there is a rule for having no scanned coupons in the Hot Deals section.

This is a real answer by the way

IIRC, some external and popular site linked to us concerning a deal where you could get a $100 instant discount on your first purchase on a new Sony Style credit card. People were pointing out that meant you could get a PS/3 for $299 using the deal.

I think this was the thread

That had 17,000+ views
