Default Question on stuck pixels

I bought a Samsung LN40B540 LCD about a week ago from Costco. Not really an LCD person since i have 2 plasmas but decided to buy an LCD for my bedroom. It's been great so far, but noticed recently that there is a green stuck pixel. I can't see it but found out by fluke when the screen was black and i went to check out my DVD player, was kind of bummed about it.

Was thinking of exchanging it, but it is a pretty big hassle packing it up and taking it back to Costco and who knows, maybe the replacement will be worse.

I tried those software programs to try to fix but never worked and i don't want to try those pressure or tapping methods to avoid further damage.

If i do try to exchange it what are the odds of the replacement having a stuck or dead pixel? and is it really worth the hassle and effort trying to exchange it?

I have 90 days to return or exchange, so still trying to debate, but it's always going to be on the back of my mind when watching movies that there is a green pixel that will likely drive me crazy.

I agree.... Costco's return policy is great. I have a couple of bright "light" pixels on mine, that I notice when I'm close to the screen when a black image is displayed........ doesn't bother me on that display though, plus the T.V. is old.

Thanks for your opinions.

Everything else about the tv is great, the backlight is perfect, don't notice any clouding, etc.

It's just that 1 green pixel, i probably will exchange it so i hope my next panel will be free of stuck/dead pixels.
