Default Supernatural Season 1!

Hey,

It's official! Supernatural Season 1 has been announced on Blu-ray.com along with the cover art!:

Supernatural: The Complete First Season Blu-ray

Now all we need is Season 2 on Blu-ray and we'll have all the seasons released on Blu!

I've been spending too much on HT and Blu-ray lately haha, so I should start cutting back. Which is why I'll wait a little while for the price to drop, but it's up for pre-order for $34.99 at Amazon...decent deal for an entire season on Blu-ray.

Discuss.

It's a nice price for a whole season. I'd hope season 2 would be released when season 5 is released, which would most likely be late August/early September.

Is anyone else sad that this got renewed for a 6th season. I love the show but it had a 5 year plan from the very beginning of the show. I like when a show goes out on its own terms like Lost instead of getting renewed each year till the rating decline significantly. They could have ended the show around the brothers and made a new show in the same universe based around new hunters.

Well, this is how I see it.
As long as the show continues to be unique, funny, entertaining, and at times quite creepy, then I'm all for season 6. I just don't want a season 10...haha.
It would be hard to completely wrap up the entire season with this season since they'd have to rush the Lucifer battle. What's after Lucifer anyways?
They should just let Lucifer live this season, and then have the ULTIMATE showdown between good and evil in the 6th season and there be 6 seasons in total.

I don't understand how any fans of the show could honestly want it to end. I'd watch it during it's 20th season that just shows Sam and Dean sitting around some rundown bar talking about all the cool things they use to do. That's how great Supernatural is. It not ever coming on again wouldn't be great.

Sweet, I was waiting for this to be released! I held off the DVDs as I got hooked on the show through the Blu-ray seasons.

Thanks OP for the news!

Well i could say the same thing about how could any fan want the show too go from awesome to rehashing old ideas and characters just too get by. Don't question haw much of a fan i am of the show. I don't know about you but i would not want them too just sit around and talk about the good old days. I want the show too go out on a high note not become a joke. I love the shows Buffy and Angel but i like how Buffy ended and i would not want it too have gone on until they killed the show.

I'm not sure what it is, but there seems to be more talk of how soon to end show now-a-days. I too would love each and every season of this show. It does sound weird for fans of a show to wish it was over. I say if they want it to be over, then stay off forums and don't watch. Everytime I go on boards it seems a bit negative. Now I heard that the current plot lines will still be wrapped up. Those wanting to drag it out a whole extra year are crazy. I am tired of it. I am ready for things to calm down a bit. I enjoy monster of the week stories the best. So happy the whole series will be on Blu-ray. I just don't know if season 2 will be this year or next.

The show is amazing and I was quite surprised how good it looked and sounded on Blu-Ray! When I was rewatching Season 4 with a friend, it didn't feel like i was watching a television show. It felt like I was just watching movies, sequel after the next. Very nice transfer.
I don't know if it'll look/sound as good as the newer seasons do, but I know it will be an upgrade over the DVD. I'll be buying this for sure, but I unfortunately I can't pre-order it. I'll buy it when it comes out, I suppose.

Supernatural FTW!

I am curious what type of episodes do most of you all prefer. The funny/serious stand alone monster of the week or the serious story arc episodes. I only ask because i prefer the funny/serious stand alone episodes much more and wondered if other did too.

I’m seeing some listening for seasons 1-3 that were released in September 2020. From what I have read, they are repackages, but does anyone know any other information? Are they the same discs, still including slipcovers and slipboxes, etc?

From what i can tell, they just seem to be repackaged. I don't believe they will have slipcovers but the only
other noticeable change is the disc art. Season 1 & 3 shows images of the booklet (episode guide) being included but Season 2 does not...that might just be an error and it will be inlcuded. Here's the link for Seasons 1, 2 & 3.

Complete Series set is posted on DeepDiscount.com. Curious to see how it's packaged and what it includes.

I wondered if, given the number of discs, it would get a single set. I'm guessing it will just be a box around the single season sets.

Yeah given how Warner normally does it, I'm picturing a box around the individual season sets (without their slipboxes), but for 15 seasons that's going to be a massive box.
